Who runs this site

DhulWells.com is a personal site run by Dhul Wells in the Chicago area. Questions about this notice: me@dhulwells.com.

Analytics, only with your permission

The site can use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and see which pages are read. It stays off until you press "Accept analytics" in the banner. Before that, no Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is set. If you choose "Reject analytics", nothing is loaded.

If you accept, Google sets the cookies _ga and _ga_* for up to two years and receives your page views, approximate location, browser and device details. Google Signals, advertising features and ad personalization are turned off, and event data is kept for 14 months. Google processes this data under its own terms.

The contact form

When you send a message, your name, email address, topic and message are delivered to me through the form service FormBold so I can reply. I use them only to answer you and do not add them to a mailing list. I keep messages as long as the conversation is useful, and you can ask me to delete yours at any time.

Your choices

The banner stores your choice in a first-party cookie named cc_cookie so it does not keep returning. You can change your mind at any time with the "Cookie preferences" button in the footer. Rejecting analytics removes the Google cookies. Your browser also lets you block or delete cookies.

I do not sell personal information, show ads or run advertising cookies on this site.

Hosting

The site is served through Cloudflare, which processes standard connection data such as IP address to deliver pages and protect the site.
